CONGRATULATIONS to our REINSMAN and EQUESTRIAN WORLD Saddle winners. Mike Clark on Peppys Butterscotch won OPEN, Randy Cope on Smart Little Bubbie won Amature and Samantha Knight on CJ Poco Jeff won Youth. These three took the lead from the very first show and maintained it until the end. A lot of riders jumped into the race and many came close, but consistency of the top three won out. This was a very fun race and hopefully, we can do more for 2009!!

-MARK YOUR CALENDAR OCTOBER 11 TH will be a get together for KTRHA members and guest hosted by Al Stein of JML FARMS (add 3220 Lipscomb Rd, Springfield TN). Call Al 615-714-6600 for more info.. The agenda will be: Horsemanship/Showmanship clinic from 10:00 – 12:00. A bitting clinic will be held by Lucas Ayers from 1:00-2:00. The trail ride for “St Jude” will begin after that. When we come in from ride the club will offer hot dogs or barbque for a small donation for St. Jude.

 

-TOUGH ENOUGH TO WEAR PINK ‘CHINKS’..have taken on “Music City Stars”.

In order to raise the MOST $$$ we decided to get some autographs on the chinks. We started with “Chris Cox” and have now added: Jewel, John Rich, Billy Ray Cyrus, Jeffry Steele and Martina McBride. We will be showing them off everywhere in Las Vegas during the NFR. Wrangler is helping us to promote them! They will be auctioned off on EBAY November 30th thru December 15th.

YEAR END AWARD BANQUET AND OFFICER ELECTIONS will be November 8 th at 6:00 at Split Tree Barbque in Bowling Green KY. Ballots will be sent out for voting on the slate of Officers interested in leading for 2009. The club will provide meat and drinks for meal and you are asked to bring your favorite dish for everyone to enjoy. We will have live entertainment and plenty of door prizes for all to enjoy. FABULOUS awards will be presented to (1) Class winners (2) Top Cow Horse and Reserve in Open, Amateur and Youth divisions. (3) Top Western Horse and Reserve in Open, Amateur and Youth divisions. GO TO POINT RESULTS FOR THESE WINNERS!

This has been a tremendous year for KTRHA. We have accomplished so much and hope that each member can be proud of being associated with such a great group of people. You are encouraged to get involved and help the new board make 2009 more memorable than ever!
